Leica R Series (Summilux) Lens Set (EF)

The Leica R Summilux set is a vintage cine set built from early 1980s Leica R glass, rehoused with Canon EF mounts. It is chosen for its soft fall-off, creamy bokeh and flattering skin tones.

The lenses are vintage-matched for consistent colour and character, and Leica R glass from this period is prized for sharpness that does not feel clinical. Each has been rehoused by Duclos Lenses with a Delrin focus gear, a declicked and dampened aperture and a hard EF mount, so it behaves like a cine lens on a follow focus.

The set is built around three f/1.4 Summilux-R lenses at 35, 50 and 80mm, with a 19mm and a 135mm Elmarit-R at the wide and long ends. Each lens has a 32-pitch gear, a 77mm threaded front and an 80mm cap, so 77mm screw-in filters fit across the set. All lenses were calibrated at Duclos.
