Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 18mm T3.6

The Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 18mm T3.6 is the wide end of the CP.2 family, a Distagon design in a cine housing. It suits interiors, vehicles and tight locations where the rest of a CP.2 set is already in use.

Like the rest of the range it pairs Zeiss stills optics with a proper cine body, with T* coating, geared focus and iris rings and consistent ring positions, so lens changes do not mean moving the follow focus or matte box. At 18mm it gives a wide field of view that still covers full frame, which suits tight interiors and vehicle mounts.

The aperture runs from T3.6 to T22 and the lens covers full frame. Close focus is 0.3m, the lens is 80mm long with a 114mm front diameter, and it weighs about 0.9kg. It is available in PL and EF mounts, and the horizontal angle of view is about 69.5 degrees on ANSI Super 35.
