Tilta Nucleus AF Adapter E-PL

The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter puts manual PL cinema lenses on a Sony E-mount camera and adds autofocus. It reads the camera's phase-detection autofocus data and turns it into motor commands for a Nucleus follow focus motor, which suits owner-operators and small crews on an FX3, FX30 or FX6.

In use, the PL lens mounts on the adapter and the motor on a rod drives the focus ring, so a manual lens can be left to hold focus on a moving subject or switched to manual for a pull. The kit is complete for this: two Nucleus Nano II motors, a 15mm rod mount, two short support rods, a battery plate for an F970 battery and the USB-C power and control cables. It is not compatible with the Burano or FX9, because of clearance with the locking E-mount.

The mount is E-mount on the camera side and PL on the lens side, in aluminium. It is powered over USB-C, and works with the Nucleus-M II and Nano II wireless lens control systems.
