The Tilta MB-T15 is a small clamp-on matte box for DSLR, mirrorless and compact cine setups. It weighs 140 grams, blocks flare and protects the front of the lens, and still takes a standard 4x5.65 filter.
The box clamps to the lens with adapter rings, so there is no need for a full rod rig. A carbon fibre top flag controls flare and can fold down over the front of the box to protect the lens in transit. Threads and cold shoe mounts on the box let you add small accessories such as an LED or a microphone.
It has an 87mm opening, with 67, 72, 77 and 82mm adapter rings supplied, and takes one standard 4x5.65 filter in the front slot. Screw-on filters can go on the adapter rings. The kit includes a 15mm rod support that attaches under the box to steady the lens, and 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threads for mounting accessories.
