Tiffen Warm Pro Mist 4x5.65 Set

The Tiffen Warm Pro-Mist is a diffusion filter that softens contrast, blooms highlights and adds a gentle warm tone. This set is in 4x5.65 and has four strengths: 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1.

Warm Pro-Mist combines the usual Pro-Mist effect with Tiffen's 812 warming filter, which is useful in open shade and on exteriors where blue can dominate skin tones. Pro-Mist glow is strongest around bright sources, so practical lamps, windows and specular highlights bloom while the rest of the frame keeps its detail. The lighter grades suit close-ups and clean wide shots, and the heavier grades are for a visible, period or dreamlike look. Change grade with the shot size, and use the set alongside Black Pro-Mist if you need less lift in the blacks.

The filters are 4x5.65 inch (Panavision size) and drop into a standard 4x5.65 matte box tray. Four grades cover from a barely visible softening to a clear, glowing effect, with each step roughly doubling the strength of the one below.
