Tiffen 77mm Glimmer Glass 1

The Tiffen Glimmerglass 1 in 77mm is a screw-in diffusion filter that adds a clean halation around lights without a heavy contrast hit. It fits any lens with a 77mm front thread. It is a quick way to add diffusion on a small camera.

Glimmerglass takes the edge off harsh highlights and adds a soft bloom to practical lights, while faces stay sharp and colour stays natural. Unlike a Pro-Mist, it reduces contrast only lightly. It suits beauty work and any scene with visible bulbs, candles or neon in frame.

This is strength 1 in Tiffen's 77mm screw-in size, so there is no need for a matte box or tray. It is made with Tiffen's ColorCore process, with the filter material laminated between two pieces of optical glass. It is a good choice for a small rig, or a quick front filter on a second camera.
