The Sony FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM is a standard zoom for E-mount full-frame cameras, with a constant f/2.8 aperture. It is the most versatile lens in Sony's G Master line and covers a wide range of everyday shooting situations.

Optically it uses an XA (extreme aspherical) element for sharp resolution across the frame, alongside ED and Super ED elements that control chromatic aberration. Nano AR coating keeps flare and ghosting down, so contrast holds up when shooting towards lights or a bright sky.

The range is 24 to 70mm at f/2.8, with a close focus of 0.38m and a weight of about 886g. It takes 82mm filters, matching Sony's 16-35mm GM.
