The Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM is a constant-aperture wide-angle zoom from Sony's G Master range, for E-mount full-frame cameras. It is compact for what it covers, which makes it a sensible choice for handheld and gimbal work.

The G Master design aims for sharp resolution from corner to corner at every focal length and focus distance, with a constant f/2.8 that keeps exposure steady as you zoom. It is a practical wide lens for interiors, architecture, documentary and any shot where the camera needs to stay close to the subject.

It covers 16 to 35mm at f/2.8, focuses as close as 0.28m, weighs about 680g and takes 82mm filters, the same size as Sony's 24-70mm GM. That shared filter size makes it easy to move a matte box or filters across when swapping between the two zooms on the same body. It suits Sony FX and Alpha bodies with the E mount.
