The Sony A7S III is a full-frame mirrorless camera built for video and low light. Its 12.1 megapixel sensor records clean, detailed 4K with fast autofocus and effective stabilisation in a body small enough for a gimbal.
The Exmor R BSI full-frame sensor and BIONZ XR processor give about 15 stops of dynamic range and very low noise at high ISO, with much less rolling shutter than earlier A7S bodies. The 5-axis in-body stabilisation keeps handheld shots steady, and the fully articulating screen and large EVF make it quick to frame and monitor.
It records internal 4K at up to 120fps in 10-bit 4:2:2, with dual card slots that take CFexpress Type A or SD cards. The ISO range runs from 80 to 102,400 and expands to 409,600, which makes it a strong choice for night exteriors, available light work and as a second or crash camera alongside a cinema body.
