The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is a fast standard prime known for its resolution wide open, and a natural everyday focal length. This one is in EF mount, with Hyper Sonic Motor autofocus.

Sigma's Art line is tuned for sharpness across the frame, and this 50mm works to minimise coma, chromatic aberration, distortion and vignetting. A super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting in backlit conditions, and the nine-blade rounded diaphragm keeps out-of-focus areas smooth. The HSM gives fast, silent autofocus.

Construction is 13 elements in 8 groups, including one aspherical and three SLD elements. Minimum focus is 0.4m, the filter thread is 77mm and the lens weighs 810g. The diagonal angle of view is 46.8 degrees. It is an EF-mount lens with full-frame coverage, and it adapts to mirrorless bodies with an EF adapter.
