Scaffold Tube - 6ft

A 6ft (1.8m) scaffold tube, used to build overhead rails, flag bars and hanging points for lights on a set. It is a cheap, strong horizontal support that spans between stands or clamps to the building.

Standard scaffold tube is 48.3mm in diameter, so it fits standard barrel clamps, Big Ben clamps and scaffold fittings, and lights or flags hang from it with a Junior or baby pin. You can use it as a rail across the top of two stands to hold a flag or a diffusion frame, or as a bar for hanging black cloth. The shorter length is easier to carry and rig than the 8ft tube and suits a smaller set. Secure it at both ends.

This tube is 6ft (1.8m) long. The diameter is the standard 48.3mm of scaffold tube. It is easy to carry in a car and to store, and two lengths joined with a coupler make a longer rail.
