The Ronford Baker Portrait Plate is a baseplate accessory for rotating a cinema camera into vertical orientation on its support. It is used when a shot needs a portrait frame for social or mobile delivery without re-rigging the whole camera.

Plate-based vertical mounts save time on set because the camera stays on its normal baseplate and rails, and you only turn it on the plate. The plate comes with its own bolts and hex keys, so it can be fixed to a range of cameras and supports. This lets the same body shoot portrait for mobile and social delivery, then return to landscape between set-ups. Check the lens and matte box are clear of the support before rolling.

The kit supplies the plate with four 1/4 inch and four 3/8 inch bolts, matching the two standard camera thread sizes, and two hex keys, 5/16 inch and 3/16 inch, for fitting it.
