Movie Master 2.5k Location Dimmer- 16Amp

The Movie Master 2.5K Location Dimmer is a 16A in-line dimmer for tungsten lamps up to 2.5kW. It sits in the supply cable between the mains and the lamp and gives smooth manual control of the output.

It is a plain, rugged control for tungsten work on location, where a full dimmer rack would be too much. A rotary knob controls the brightness and an on/off switch isolates the lamp, so an electrician or gaffer can balance a lamp to the scene without moving it or putting a net or scrim in front of it.

The unit is rated at 2.5kW and 16A and has two sockets on it. It pairs with tungsten fresnels, redheads, blondes and similar lamps, and it takes a lamp from full output down towards a low glow. It is not suitable for LED or HMI fixtures, which need their own dimming systems, and it works with a standard 16A supply.
