Manfrotto 143R Magic Arm

The Manfrotto 143R Magic Arm is a friction articulated arm for holding small cameras, monitors and lights in awkward positions, such as inside a car, on a rail, on a pipe or on a stand. It carries up to 3kg, which covers a mirrorless camera, a monitor or a small LED panel.

The arm folds out in any direction and a single central locking lever clamps every joint, so it is quick to position and stays put once locked. It has a 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch connection on the camera end, so it takes most small cameras, monitors and clamps. On set it usually sits on a Super Clamp or a stand, and is also useful for flags, mics and mini lights.

Maximum extension is 53cm and the arm weighs 1.71kg. The load rating is 3kg, so it is not for heavier camera builds. Always support the arm with a second point on long extensions, as the leverage increases quickly.
