Iron Glass MKII Lens Set

The Iron Glass MKII set is a collection of classic Soviet lenses rehoused by Iron Glass for modern cinema use. It is chosen for the dreamy flares, swirling bokeh and painterly texture of Soviet optics.

The second-generation rehouse tightens tolerances and standardises dimensions compared with the original Iron Glass build, putting vintage lenses in PL housings with improved focus gearing and a consistent front diameter. The result behaves like a cine set on a follow focus, while the images keep the warm tones and vivid flares of the originals.

Each lens keeps the character of its Soviet original, from the swirl of a Helios to the softer glow of a Jupiter. Because the glass is vintage and varies from copy to copy, a lens test before a shoot is worth doing. It suits music promos, period work and any project that wants texture over polish.
