Full White Artificial Silk - 6x6

A 6x6 foot full white artificial silk, a strong diffusion fabric used on a frame between a light and the subject. It gives a soft, even source and is the heaviest of the white silks, used when you want a lot of softening and can afford the light.

Artificial silk is a synthetic fabric that diffuses more than a natural silk and is more durable. The white fabric also adds a bit of bounce on the lit side, which gives a soft, wrapping light. Held close to a subject it gives a large, soft source for key light, and over a window it evens out the light. It cuts more light than a China silk or a quarter silk, so check the exposure.

The fabric is 6 x 6ft (1.83 x 1.83m) and rigs on a 6x6 frame. It is the heaviest of the white silks, so it takes the most light out of the source in exchange for the softest, most even result.
