The DJI Ronin 4D Expansion Plate adds SDI, XLR audio and timecode connections to the back of a Ronin 4D 6K or 8K body. It is the plate to fit when the camera has to feed a video village or run with a sound recorder.
It attaches to the rear of the camera, and gives the camera the broadcast-style connections it needs for a multi-camera shoot: an SDI output for monitoring and wireless transmitters, two XLR inputs for a mic or a line feed from the sound mixer, and a timecode port to jam sync with other cameras or a recorder. Each XLR input has a switch for mic, line or +48V phantom power, so a boom or a mixer feed can be plugged in directly.
It has one BNC output and one BNC input/output, two 3-pin XLR audio inputs and a timecode port. The plate fixes on with three mounting screws and weighs 250g. It uses the camera's own connection, so no extra cable is needed to power it. It fits the Ronin 4D 6K and 8K.
