The DJI Ronin 2 is a three axis gimbal for full size cinema cameras, with a payload of up to 13.6kg (30lb). It works handheld, on a car, crane, cable cam, Steadicam or drone, so one unit covers most moving camera work.
It switches between handheld, car mount, aerial and tripod modes, and a Pan Lock mode is designed for working on a Steadicam. The payload headroom means it will take a DSLR one day and a fully built Sony FS7 the next, so a single gimbal can cover very different camera packages. It succeeds the original Ronin and is aimed at heavier rigs than the smaller handheld gimbals.
Maximum payload is about 13.6kg (30lb). The gimbal weighs roughly 4.2kg without the handlebar and 5.5kg with it. Power comes from DJI TB50 intelligent batteries in a dual, hot swappable compartment, which gives about 8 hours for the gimbal alone and around 2.5 hours when it is also powering a camera.
