Cooke Telepanchro 203mm T4.5

The Cooke Telepanchro 203mm T4.5 is a vintage 8 inch telephoto from Cooke's Panchro line, in PL mount. It suits long, compressed close-ups and period work where a soft, characterful image is wanted.

At 203mm and T4.5 it is a slow lens by modern standards and needs light, but the look is gentle, with lower contrast and a soft fall-off in the highlights. A rehoused version of this lens is specified with 0.8 MOD focus and iris gears and a 110mm front diameter, so it works with a follow focus and a matte box like a modern cine lens. It is the long end of the vintage Cooke range.

The aperture is T4.5 at its widest. Close focus is under 7'8", and the lens covers Super 35. It sits alongside the Cooke Speed Panchro lenses in our vintage range, but it is its own lens with its own image rather than part of the Speed Panchro set.
