Cooke S4/i 40mm T2

The Cooke S4/i 40mm T2 is a normal-to-short lens in our Cooke S4/i range, a Super 35 prime in PL mount.

At T2 it works in low light. It suits interviews, drama and general coverage where the image should feel natural and unforced. Close focus is 1'6". Cooke S4/i lenses are matched across the range, so the 40mm cuts with the other S4/i primes we hold. Cooke's rendering is warm and smooth with a gentle fall-off, so skin tones and highlights look natural without extra diffusion. The /i contacts record lens data such as focal length, T-stop and focus distance, which helps visual effects and virtual production.

The lens weighs 1.99kg and has a 110mm front diameter, the same as most of the series, so a matte box and filter set carry across. It is a PL mount lens covering Super 35, with an aperture range of T2 to T22.
