Cooke S4/i 180mm T2

The Cooke S4/i 180mm T2 is the longest lens in our S4/i range, a Super 35 telephoto prime in PL mount. It suits close-ups, compressed backgrounds and exteriors where the camera has to stay well back from the subject.

Cooke S4/i lenses are known for a warm, consistent image that cuts together across the range, and the /i contacts record lens data such as focal length, T-stop and focus distance for post and virtual production. At T2 the 180mm gives a shallow plane of focus even at a distance. It is bigger than the other S4/i primes, with a 136mm front diameter against 110mm on the rest, so check the matte box and its reducing ring.

The lens weighs 4.28kg and focuses as close as 4'3". It is a PL mount lens and covers Super 35. Because it is much heavier than the shorter primes, it should be supported at the lens rather than hung from the camera body.
