The Cooke S4/i 15-40mm CXX is a wide to mid cine zoom for Super 35 cameras, with a constant T2 aperture. It brings the Cooke look to a zoom lens with no breathing and full resolution through the range.
It holds full resolution across the zoom range, and a variable vignetting stop prevents light falloff during zoom moves. The body is PTFE-anodised metal with Cooke's cam-style focus mechanism. Cooke /i metadata passes lens data to supported cameras and VFX workflows.
It covers 15 to 40mm at a constant T2, with a 136mm front diameter and a weight of about 3.6kg. Close focus is about 169mm from the front of the lens, and the lens is around 281mm long. It is a heavier cine zoom, so it works best on a camera supported by a rig, with a matte box and follow focus. It suits drama and commercials.
