Canon 14mm FD-X T2.9 (TLS)

The Canon 14mm FD-X T2.9 is one of four lenses in our TLS rehoused Canon FD range, in PL mount. It suits wide interiors and landscapes where a softer, more organic look than modern wide lenses is wanted.

Canon's FD stills lenses were made from the 1970s into the late 1980s, and cinematographers use them for a soft, flattering image that shares much of the look of the Canon K-35 cine primes. TLS has rehoused them with a cam-driven focus, a chassis-style housing and a circular iris, so they handle like cine lenses. FD-X is TLS's extended range built from FD glass.

The lens is T2.9, weighs 1.30kg and focuses as close as 8". The front diameter is 110mm, shared across the Canon FD set, and the lens covers full frame. All four FD lenses are PL mount, so they fit cine cameras such as the ARRI Alexa 35 directly and the Alexa Mini LF through a PL to LPL adapter.
