Canon 100mm NFD T2.1 (TLS)

The Canon 100mm NFD T2.1 is one of four lenses in our TLS rehoused Canon FD range, in PL mount. It suits close-ups and portraits where a gentle, flattering rendering and a little compression are wanted.

Canon's FD stills lenses were made from the 1970s into the late 1980s, and cinematographers use them for a soft, flattering image that shares much of the look of the Canon K-35 cine primes. TLS has rehoused them with a cam-driven focus, a chassis-style housing and a circular iris, so they handle like cine lenses. The 100mm and 135mm are the NFD lenses in the set.

The lens is T2.1, weighs 1.36kg and focuses as close as 2'2". The front diameter is 110mm, shared across the Canon FD set, and the lens covers full frame. All four FD lenses are PL mount, so they fit cine cameras such as the ARRI Alexa 35 directly and the Alexa Mini LF through a PL to LPL adapter.
