C-Stand 40"

A C-stand with a 120cm extension arm and two grip heads (knuckles), the standard grip stand for holding flags, nets, small silks and lights on a set. This kit is the basic rig for flagging a light or holding a card in place.

A C-stand has a three-legged turtle base with a sliding leg, which lets it sit on stairs and uneven ground, and the legs fold up for storage. The centre column rises in sections and the grip head and extension arm clamp onto it, so you can reach out over the action, hold a flag or net at height, and get the weight out over the legs. Put a sandbag on the leg beneath the arm whenever you extend it.

The kit contains the C-stand, the 120cm extension arm and two knuckles, the grip heads that clamp the arm to the column and hold a flag or net on the arm. With the arm out, the 120cm reach puts the flag well clear of the legs, so balance a heavier flag with a sandbag.
