Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom

The Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom is an ultra-light clip-on matte box built for gimbals, Steadicam, aerial and run-and-gun work. At 98 grams without its shade it adds almost nothing to a small rig, and it still takes real cinema filters.

Weight is the whole point of the Atom. It clamps onto the lens rather than sitting on rods, so it balances easily on a gimbal or drone and goes on in seconds when the setup changes. It takes standard 4x5.65 or 4x4 filters, so your diffusion, ND and polarisers work as they would on a full-size box, and the rubber shade keeps flare off the front element.

The Atom has two filter stages and fits lenses up to 114mm in diameter, using clamp-on and threaded donut rings to match the barrel. It weighs 98 grams bare and about 195 grams with the rubber shade fitted. It suits mirrorless bodies, compact cine lenses and any build where every gram counts.
