Blackmagic Sync Generator

The Blackmagic Mini Converter Sync Generator produces a stable reference signal to genlock cameras, switchers and recorders so they all run in step. It gives six outputs of black burst or tri-level sync from one small box, for multi-camera shoots and live set-ups.

Where a multi-camera shoot needs matched frames, the generator sends the same reference to each camera so frame edges line up and a switcher or recorder can cut cleanly. You choose the format with the dip switches, with no input needed. It runs from the supplied 12V adapter and connects over a Mini USB cable for the software settings, and the kit has the power adapter and cable. The BNC outputs are used with sync-capable cameras and other broadcast kit.

The six reference outputs are analogue black burst or tri-level sync on BNC. It supports NTSC and PAL, 720p50, 59.94 and 60, and 1080p, PsF and interlaced rates from 23.98 up to 60i. Power is 12V DC at 3W. The case is a Mini Converter size, with a cable tie point for the power lead.
