Blackmagic SDI Distribution

The Blackmagic Mini Converter SDI Distribution takes one SDI signal and splits it to eight SDI outputs, so a single camera feed can go to several monitors, a recorder and a video village without daisy-chaining. It is the box for multi-monitor and multi-department SDI feeds.

In use it sits in line with the camera feed: the SDI cable goes into the input and each output is run to its own monitor or recorder. Reclocking keeps the signal clean across the outputs, which matters when each leg runs long. It needs mains or a 12V source, and the kit comes with the 12V power adapter and a short SDI cable so it can be set up straight from the case.

It has one BNC SDI input and eight BNC SDI outputs. It handles SD and HD up to 1080p60, DCI 2K and Ultra HD up to 2160p30, in 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, and passes ancillary data and embedded 48 kHz 24-bit audio. Input voltage is 12 to 31V DC, and the supplied universal 12V adapter covers mains use.
