Atlas Orion Anamorphic Lens Set

The Atlas Orion Anamorphic Lens Set is a set of 2x anamorphic primes with a true front anamorphic group, in a PL-mount design. They give the classic anamorphic look of waterfall bokeh, breathing and controlled flare.

Atlas built the Orion series to be a practical working lens as well as a characterful one, with a front anamorphic group that produces the oval bokeh and horizontal flares associated with anamorphic cinema. The flares are noticeable but controlled, and the lenses are designed for modern digital cinema cameras.

The lenses are T2 primes with a 114mm front diameter, so they share a matte box. PL mount suits cameras such as the ARRI Alexa and RED DSMC2, and they can be adapted to Canon, Sony E or Micro Four Thirds bodies. They also meet the ARRI PL flange requirements for use with a rotating mirror shutter. They are suited to productions that want a distinct anamorphic look.
