The ARRI LMB-25 is a lightweight clip-on matte box for handheld, Steadicam and gimbal work. It clamps to the lens barrel, so it goes on fast and keeps a small camera package nimble. It is made for small cameras and moving rigs.
The box is compatible with the LMB-5 and 15 filter frames, clamp adapters and light shields, and it takes lenses as wide as 3.9mm on ENG zooms. A quick-release sunshade can be removed for close-up work, and the carbon fibre flag folds to protect the front element when the camera moves. It is fast to rig and strip. It suits compact cameras as well as larger bodies.
This kit gives three 4x5.65 filter stages, a carbon fibre top flag, and 114mm, 95mm and 80mm clamp adapters to match the lens barrel. ARRI's spherical mattes #1 to #5 help frame off-format sensors. Other adapters in ARRI's range cover lens diameters from 80mm up to 143mm.
