ARRI Alura 45-250mm Studio Zoom

The ARRI Alura 45-250mm T2.6 is a studio zoom from ARRI and Fujinon, made for Super 35 cameras. It is the long-range counterpart to the Alura 18-80mm and gives a large telephoto range in one lens.

Created in 2010 through the ARRI and Fujinon collaboration, the Alura zooms are known for their optical performance and consistent image quality. It offers the same precision as the shorter zoom across a longer range, and it works well for studio, sports, drama and documentary coverage from a distance.

It covers 45 to 250mm at T2.6, a zoom ratio above 5.5x. Close focus is 4 feet, the front diameter is 134mm and the lens weighs about 7.5kg. It is a big, heavy zoom and needs a solid support, but it gives a wide range without changing lenses and pairs with the Alura 18-80mm. It suits studio, sports and drama coverage.
