The Aputure Storm 80c is an 80W full-colour LED head, small enough to hide in a set and weather resistant for use outdoors. It gives accurate colour and a wide colour temperature range from a very compact fixture.
A BLAIR-CG 7-colour chipset gives high colour fidelity and over 90 per cent Rec. 2020 coverage, with plus and minus green control for matching other sources. The head is rated IP65, powers from AC, V-mount or 100W USB-C, and has a silent mode for audio-sensitive shoots. It controls over DMX, CRMX or Sidus Link.
Colour temperature runs from 1,800K to 20,000K, with an SSI of 88 at 3200K, and output is about 19,850 lux at 1 metre at 5600K with the Hyper Reflector. The head weighs about 1kg, or 1.35kg with its yoke. Silent mode makes it practical for interviews and drama, where the fan noise of other LED heads would be picked up on audio.
