The Aputure Storm 1200x is a 1,200W bi-colour LED monolight covering 2,500K to 10,000K. It is the big tungsten-to-daylight source in the Storm range, used for large diffusion frames, bounce and fill from distance, and as a replacement for HMI-class units where a generator is not needed or wanted.

The head and control box are separate, connected by the 7.5m head cable, and the head is rated IP65 for work outdoors. The kit comes with the 45 degree wide angle reflector, a lightning clamp, a COB protector cap and the powerCON cable, plus an additional reflector kit. Bowens mount accessories fit, including the CF12 Fresnel, which tightens the beam considerably when you need a harder, longer throw.

Maximum power output is 1,200W from a draw of up to 1,440W. At 5600K with the included reflector it measures 24,000 lux at 3m, and the reflector has a 45 degree beam angle. The LED engine is the BLAIR chipset. The lamp head with yoke weighs 9.50kg, the control box 5.92kg, the head cable 1.81kg and the AC power cable 0.65kg.
