The Aputure Storm 1000c is a 1,000W RGBWW LED monolight on the BLAIR-CG engine, with a colour temperature range of 1,800K to 20,000K. It suits large soft sources, window and night exterior work, and anything where you need coloured light at real output.

The lamp head and control box are separate, joined by the supplied 7.5m head cable, so the heavy electronics stay on the ground and only the head goes on the stand. The head is IP65 weather resistant, which helps on exteriors and effects work. The kit includes the 45 degree wide angle reflector, a COB protector cap and a lightning clamp, and the Bowens mount takes the usual Aputure accessories such as the CF12 Fresnel.

Maximum power output is 1,000W from a draw of up to 1,440W, which comes in through the powerCON cable supplied. With the 45 degree reflector it gives 14,200 lux at 3m at 5600K, and the bare COB beam angle is 67 degrees. The lamp head with yoke weighs 9.66kg, the control box 6.12kg and the reflector 0.40kg.
