Aputure CF7 Fresnel Kit

The Aputure CF7 is a 7 inch Fresnel with barn doors, designed for the Storm 400x. It gives the 400x a focusable Fresnel beam, which makes it a harder, more controllable source for key light, accents and pools of light on a background.

It mounts to the lamp head by Bowens mount and you focus it between spot and flood from the lens. The barn doors fit the front of the lens to shape and cut the beam, so you can keep light off a wall or a flare out of the camera. A Fresnel also lets you throw the same output further than the open reflector, which helps when the stand has to sit back from the action. The whole unit is small enough to rig on a standard stand.

Beam angle is variable from 15 to 40 degrees. The CF7 Fresnel weighs 1.35kg and the barn doors weigh 950g. Together the Fresnel and barn doors add 2.3kg to the head.
