The Amaran F22c is a 2x2 foot RGBWW flexible LED mat, a flat soft source that bends and rolls up, used where a conventional softbox will not fit. It suits fast set-ups for interviews, product and drama, with a full-colour engine that doubles as a coloured-light effects source.

The mat plugs into a control box on an extension cable, so the heavy part stays on the floor. The kit includes a support bracket and tilting stand mount, a softbox with two diffusion cloths and a light control grid, so you can use it bare, softened or controlled. It is silent in operation, with a passive heat sink in the control box and no fan.

The F22c draws 200W and covers 2,500K to 7,500K, with full 360 degree HSI control, 46 gel presets and 15 lighting effects. It is rated CRI 95, TLCI 98 and CQS 96, and measures 6,420 lux at 3.3 feet at 5600K. The mat alone weighs 0.8kg. The kit comes with a 3-pin XLR AC adapter, a 3m head cable extension and an IEC lead.
