6x6 Frame

The 6x6ft frame is a modular overhead frame for rigging diffusion, silk or bounce above a set. It is quick to build from sections and light enough for one or two crew to fly on an overhead stand.

The frame folds down small for transport and goes back together in seconds on set. It is built from two straight sections and two corner sections that pin together into a square, so the frame is easy to carry in pieces and build where it is needed. Fitted with silk it softens sunlight or a hard key over a two-person scene.

The frame is aluminium, 6ft by 6ft, and weighs about 7.2kg. Mount it on an overhead stand, combo arm or lollipop with a pair of grip ears, and ballast the stand well, because even a frame this size catches wind outdoors. For larger exteriors, the 8x8 frame covers a wider area but needs more crew.
