13A Electrical Extension Reel - 5m

A 5m 13A extension reel for powering small equipment from a wall socket, such as chargers, laptops, work lights and small monitors. It is a quick way to bring a socket to where the kit is on set or on location.

A reel keeps a short run tidy and stops the cable being left in a loose pile on the floor. Run the cable fully off the drum for any heavy load, because a coiled cable heats up. A 5m length suits a desk, a camera cart or a corner of a studio, while the 10m and 25m reels are better for longer distances and loads at the other side of a room. Keep it clear of walkways, and use a cable protection mat if it has to cross one.

It is a 13A UK extension reel with a BS 1363 plug, rated at 230V. The length is 5m. It does not suit lighting on a 16A feed, for which the 16A cable or a 16A reel is the correct choice.
